Creating Color Me Reading Books “To Believe, Imagine, and Inspire”
The Authors and Creators of Brooke & Lee created Color Me Reading books hoping to introduce a new experience to children. We didn’t want to only produce a quality reading book, but something to engage the minds of children as they read by adding coloring and activities to many of the pages.
Adria “Brooke” McCardy
Creative Director
Adria Brooke McCardy has recently received a master’s degree in Communications from the University of Central Florida. She has had a love of writing and poetry for years and utilizes it by creating children’s books.
One thing that Adria has and does well is using her gift of giving. She loves to gift those who just need a smile on their face. Hence, as the Creative Director, she aims to create books that can make children happy and hopes to encourage them “To Believe, Imagine, and Inspire”.
Kristi “Lee” Collie
Technical Director
Kristi Lee Collie, M.Eng, is an engineer by training with degrees from Taylor University and the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). She has over 5 years of construction project management and 2 years of college math/physics tutoring experience.
Currently, she is a Business Operations Manager for a software development company. She also has a few entrepreneurial ventures she is working on.
One of Kristi’s biggest passions is encouraging and helping others. Being a mother has pushed her even more to make a difference in the lives of little ones. Brooke & Lee’s aim is to help give kids a solid foundation by blending Christian based stories with stimulating activities in hopes to inspire creativity, uniqueness, and meaning for every child everywhere.
She and her husband, Wendell, are parents of twin boys, James & Gabriel, and one sweet boy, Micah. This family of 5 truly believes and strives to live by Joshua 24:15: “…as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
Hope McCardy
Song Writer and Creator of the Wisdom Wagon Devotionals/Ministry
Hope is a science teacher by profession and has home-schooled her four children until it was time for each child to go to high school (grade seven in The Bahamas).
She is the leader of the Prayer Ministry at her church (the Prayer Garden) in Nassau, Bahamas. She is also the co-leader of the church’s Marriage Ministry alongside her husband, Cardinal.
Her passion is prayer. She knows all too well that she is absolutely nothing without God and that devoid of Him, she is doomed to failure. As a child, Hope watched her mother diligently pray for her large family on a daily basis. This consistent action deposited a seed of prayer deep within her. And now, Hope continues to grow and mature in Christ knowing that only He is capable of doing the things she is unable to think about or remotely understand (Ephesians 3:20) – that only God-touched prayer can make things happen!
